DURACARE GLASS PROTECTION
Duracare Glass Protection is a highly durable rain-repellent safety treatment for vehicle windscreens. The nano coating creates an invisible and impenetrable protective barrier with a hydrophobic effect. This means water and dirt are repelled and offers long-term protection and facilitates cleaning.

The hydrophobic surface permits safer driving in wet conditions by deflecting raindrops from the glass as ‘beads’ at speeds of over 40mph. This overcomes the problem of reduced visibility caused by rain filming across the screen. Improved visibility enables quicker reactions to hazards and therefore safer driving.
Duracare Glass Protection utilises nanoscale particles that are approximately 120-nm (80,000 times thinner than a human hair); these fuse seamlessly with particles in the glass.
The anti-bonding molecules migrate to the glass surface to form a highly protective but completely invisible surface layer. Water and contaminants are deflected from the surface by the increased “contact angle” meaning the contact between a water droplet and the windscreen is less so the water ‘beads’ with minimal friction.
Bonding takes place in seconds, so the newly coated surface can be exposed to rain and snow immediately after application. In mixed driving conditions, the coating generally continues to perform well for over 12,000 miles’ worth of car use.
